March Giveaway: Happy Sunflower!
I have been overwhelmed by the support I’ve been getting lately on my various social media sites! I am nearly to 400 followers now on Twitter, and I’ve reached 100 followers (well 99 but who’s counting?) on my Facebook Fan Page. With over 150 followers on Instagram, I couldn’t be happier!
Today, I’m hosting my first giveaway to say thank you to all of you who take a moment to read my posts and like to see what I’m working on! If there is anything you’d like to read more about, let me know!
You may remember that I recently posted my first amigurumi pattern: Happy Sunflower. I understand that not all of my followers here at Ink & Stitches know how to crochet. You may not even have any desire to learn, and that is completely okay! It’s not for everyone.
It is because of this that I wanted all of my followers, crafty or not, to be able to participate. For this giveaway, a crocheted Happy Sunflower (made by me of course) will be mailed to the lucky winner!
There are four different ways to get your name put in the hat; each is worth a different amount of points. The way this works is that if, for example, you sign up to be notified when I post a new blog post (by subscribing to Ink & Stitches posts by email), your name will get put into the hat five times because that task is worth five points.
If you do all four of the different tasks noted in the giveaway you can gain up to twelve points or have your name entered in to win twelve times! One of the options can even be done once per day while the giveaway is running, gaining you two points each time you participate!
I want to wish good luck to you all! I can’t wait to see who wins! Once again, thank you for your continued support!
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter, or any other social media sites. I hereby release them of any liability. The winner will be contacted by email 48 hours after the giveaway ends. Once a winner is chosen, he/she will have until 3/21 to email me a mailing address to ship the product to. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to send me an email! jhwinterauthor@gmail.com.

who wouldn’t love a happy sunflower friend?
JHWinter
That’s precisely what I was thinking! It is the one plant you never have to water and can help brighten any windowsill. Good luck!
Aria
Congrats on making such huge strides with your website & social media accounts so quickly! 😀
JHWinter
Thank you Aria! It’s taken a lot of time as does anything that’s important. Well worth the hours put in though! I’m very happy with how it’s turning out 🙂

Your work is fantastic! This happy sunflower makes me smile. Thank you for posting more of your work on instagram…in particular, I really enjoyed seeing the baby groot and max the fox.
JHWinter
Thank you Heather! I love Instagram! When I saw Twinkie Chan’s pattern for the Baby Groot I had to make it! Here is the link to her pattern if you’re interested: Baby Groot.
Max the Fox was one I made for my mom who loves foxes and I got that pattern from Ildikko on Etsy: Max Pattern.
Even if you aren’t a crafter, I’m glad you are enjoying my posts!

Thank you for the links to the patterns! I do a fair amount of sewing, but I have to confess that, although I have a full range of crochet hooks and enough yarn for a project, I’ve never gotten the hang of it. I’m hoping I might learn some tips and tricks on your site.
JHWinter
You definitely will! I just started the blog not too long ago, but I have plans to include how-to videos on making the various stitches that amigurumi patterns call for. I will also teach you how to assemble the pieces together once you’ve made them. Anything you will need to know to make amigurumi, you will be able to find here.
