Thank you! I will definitely post more on my writing process! Check back tomorrow even, for a post on how I found time to write a book in month. What kind of children’s book did you write (category/genre)? 🙂

I have a draft children’s book that I have been working on for some time and I would love to take it to the next level. I have learned that reaching out and gathering other perspectives and advice is very helpful in moving you and your stories forward. Love the artwork!

My editor’s name is Alison Williams. Once she scheduled me in, her turnaround time took less than five days for a book that is 53,000 words and ~210 pages. She answers any questions I have as I work through the edits, and she is just an all around pleasant person to work with. I highly recommend her 🙂

You have a great attitude about the process though, and I’m sure it will make Adeline an even better book. Can’t wait to hear more about how the editing goes!

I had no idea. I’d live to hear more about your editor and how you found her and am looking forward o your book.

So true and yes I have been! I have learned a lot from the things she has pointed out throughout my manuscript, one of which is that I use the word ‘atop’ far too often! I look forward to the manuscript edits being done and getting back to querying again. All in good time though. 🙂

The bits I enjoy the most about editing is how it reaffirms the inklings I am learning to trust more and more, and the clever rearrangements she makes never cease to impress (and teach!) me.
